


The Ghoul will offer bonus to you at the "cost" of also receiving rot. If you have least 1 point of Rot, anytime you enter a forest, there's a Chance you'll encounter "The Dark Temptation".Their middle option grants permenant scout at the cost of 1 Max Body but has nothing to do with Rot. The Goblins will offer you the chance to drink their soup- giving you 2 rot or Hand you the Raven's Beak dagger treasure which costs Rot to equip. Anytime you enter a dungeon, there's a chance you can play "The Goblin's Game".Once you are corrupted, the quest choice that would have rewarded a spirit stone gets replaced with a quest that rewards +2 rot as it's reward.Many quests that involve conflicts with Rotten creatures will impart 1 rot if your fail the Risk check.There's a fun interaction of mutually killing a Bane at 4 rot- dying to the Bane brings you to 5 (corrupted), then the Bane's death "while you are corrupted" earns you a 6th rot point. Dying from Banes without killing them does not grant Rot to corrupted targets. Once you are corrupted, if you kill a Bane you absorb some of its Rot as it dies and this increases your Rot by 1.

Being killed by a Player with the Raven's Beak dagger equipped will grant you 1 Rot.An Early game tactic is to Suicide against Banes, thus increasing your Rot. Banes : Being killed by a Bane increases your Rot by 1.Once you have achieved a Rot Victory you will unlock the Spoil Amulet that gives you +2 Rot at the beginning of the game.There are a number of other ways to gain Rot.
